WINDEMULLER HOSTS “BUILDING UP WOMEN: DEMOLISHING THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY’S GLASS CEILING”

Virtual event will be held Thursday, March 4, in conjunction with National Women in Construction Week

WHAT

Windemuller, a Michigan-based advanced technical and design services provider, and other area construction leaders are hosting “Building Up Women: Demolishing the Construction Industry’s Glass Ceiling.”

WHEN

Thursday, March 4 • 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.

WHY

With women representing under 10% in the construction field, Windemuller and our partners are committed to raising awareness of the growing impact women have on the industry as well as the opportunities available to them.

DETAILS

This free, virtual event is open to all and will highlight successes and acknowledge the barriers often faced by hardworking women in a historically male-dominated industry.

Expert panelists, located throughout Michigan, will share personal stories from the field, including the hurdles and achievements they’ve encountered while developing a diverse workforce. Attendees will then join a small group breakout session, where a moderator will lead a discussion focused on how to overcome obstacles many women face in the construction industry.

Following the event, attendees will receive resources and key takeaways which can be used to spread awareness about current challenges to peers and colleagues and bring to light current and future opportunities.

This celebration is intended for everyone with an interest in the construction trade: women, men, students, field crews, industry leaders, etc. To register, visit www.Windemuller.us/WIC or email events@windemuller.us.
