The ABC Greater Michigan Chapter Young Professionals Program empowers the next generation of construction leaders to grow, connect, and lead with purpose. Designed for emerging professionals within ABC member companies, the program offers the opportunity to sharpen skills, build meaningful relationships, and advance careers—while promoting the merit shop philosophy and driving the industry forward.

Eligibility:

  • Individuals 40 years of age or younger

  • Employees of an ABC member company

  • Company owners seeking deeper engagement with ABC

  • Professionals in any role—from project managers to office staff and field leaders

Ambassador Responsibilities & Benefits

In order to be considered as an ambassador, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be employed by an ABC/GMC member company.
  • Must have been employed by the member company for at least a year.
  • The applicant must have attended at least one ABC/GMC event over the past year.

The following requirements are necessary to maintain Ambassador status:

  • Attend 100% of all Ambassador meetings each year (meetings are held quarterly).
  • Attend 50% (combination) of all ABC/GMC or GMCA events and serve as a greeter for attendees.
  • Be employed by an ABC/GMC member.
  • Participate in membership development through referring prospects for membership and making retention calls/visits aimed at gaining feedback and ensuring membership satisfaction.
  • Participate in member visits/calls to solicit attendance at ABC/GMC events.
