– Associated Builders and Contractors Greater Michigan Chapter (ABC) announces new Board of Directors leadership for 2017.
The incoming offers are as follows:

Three new directors have also been elected to the board for three-year terms. They are Ken Misiewicz of Pleune Service Company, Mindy Schultz of Bierlein Companies, and Shawn Pnacek of Great Lakes Bay Construction.
Ken is the President and CEO of Pleune Service Company, a 100% employee-owned company based in Grand Rapids. Pleune is a Mechanical Contractor specializing in commercial & industrial HVAC installation, emergency service, and maintenance. After attending HVACR vocational training Ken started his career in the field in 1991, he joined Pleune in 1995; in addition to service and installation work he has held a number of positions including Service Manager, General Manager, and COO. Ken is currently the Chairman of the Mechanical Board of Rules for the State of Michigan, a Construction Code Commissioner for the Bureau of Construction Codes, and a Director for Crystal Flash Energy. In 2016 he concluded five years of service on the American Subcontractors Association of Michigan (ASAM) Board of Directors.
Mindy L. Schultz, CSP is the Vice President of Environmental Health and Safety for Bierlein Companies, a national demolition and environmental remediation contractor. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University then began her career as an environmental consultant, working in construction and general industry. Having spent the last 10 years at Bierlein involved in various aspects of the business with an emphasis on environmental, health and safety, Schultz has a tremendous desire for every person to go home from work in a healthy and safe condition every day. She is a Certified Safety Professional (April 2010) and currently resides in St. Charles, Michigan with her husband and two children.
Shawn is the president of Great Lakes Bay Construction in Midland. He and his wife Kari have two daughters, Megan (15) and Abigail (10). He is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Construction Management. He is past president of the Midland Home Builders Association, past president of Midland County Habitat for Humanity and currently serves on the United Way of Midland County board of directors and on the City of Midland Planning Commission. Shawn resides in Midland.
